I checked out a church on Sunday. The service was mostly in English, but we did sing some songs in Amharic. They were the most touching songs in the whole worship service for me, because all of the Ethiopians became much more animated when they sang in their first/heart language. It also kind of made me cry just to sing “Yesus” (Jesus) with them. It’s amazing to me that I can go half way around the world and there are people there who have been touched by the same Jesus/Yesus who has touched me. It is a beautiful thing! God’s power and love reaches around the world!
